A denial by USCIS does not automatically result in immediate deportation. In many cases, USCIS refers the case to immigration court, where you will have the opportunity to present your asylum claim before a judge. You will receive a Notice to Appear and be scheduled for court hearings, during which you can apply for asylum again and possibly seek other forms of relief.

While a denial is serious, it is not the end of the process. Immigration court provides additional procedural protections, including the ability to submit more evidence and testimony. It is very important to attend all court hearings and respond to deadlines. Missing a hearing can result in a removal order.
