I’m on TPS and my country’s designation keeps getting extended. I’m grateful but also confused. Does TPS ever lead to a green card, or will I be stuck renewing forever?

TPS by itself does not lead directly to a green card. It’s a temporary protection, even if it gets extended many times.

Some people with TPS become eligible for permanent residence through other paths like marriage to a US citizen, employment, or family sponsorship, depending on their situation.

If you travel with TPS advance parole and return legally, that entry can sometimes help with adjustment of status later, but this depends on individual circumstances.
