I’m from Kazakhstan and currently in the United States on a temporary visa. I came here legally and have been following my status, but I’m now thinking long-term about living and working in the U.S. What immigration options might realistically apply to someone like me, and what steps should I take early to avoid mistakes?

Your options depend on your current visa, future plans, and whether family, work, or humanitarian pathways apply.

Some people qualify through employment sponsorship if an employer is willing to support them. Others explore family-based options or study-to-work pathways. Staying in status while planning is critical.
