If I lose my job on an H-1B visa, how long do I have to find another employer before I have to leave?

You typically have a 60-day grace period or until your authorized period of stay expires, whichever is shorter, to find a new employer and file for a change of status or leave the US.

If you lose your job, you have up to 60 days or the remaining validity period on your I-94, whichever is less, to find new employment or depart the US
