I received a biometrics appointment notice but I already completed biometrics for a previous case. Do I still need to attend?

In most cases, yes. USCIS schedules biometrics for a specific application, and even if your fingerprints were taken before, you are usually required to attend unless USCIS explicitly states they are reusing your biometrics. Missing the appointment without proper notice can delay or deny your application.

Sometimes USCIS does reuse biometrics and sends a notice confirming this. If you are unsure, check your online account or the notice carefully. When in doubt, attending the appointment is the safest option, as it avoids unnecessary complications or delays.
