I overstayed my tourist visa by 5 months but now I married a U.S. citizen. Will this affect my green card application?

Marriage to a U.S. citizen forgives most overstays when applying for adjustment of status.

You must still prove your marriage is genuine and not just for immigration benefits.

USCIS may ask extra questions because of the overstay.

Overstays could cause issues if you leave the U.S. before your green card is approved.
