I applied for asylum but it's been years and I haven't had an interview yet. What can I do about the delay?

You can file a request for case status updates through USCIS or the asylum office handling your case.

If the delay is unreasonable, you may consider filing a writ of mandamus lawsuit to compel action.

You can also contact your congressional representative’s office—they sometimes help push delayed cases forward.
