I am from Armenia and currently living and working in the United States. Recently, I have been hearing reports about ICE officers showing up at workplaces, and it has made me anxious about my own situation. I want to understand what my rights and risks are if ICE comes to my job, especially if I am not sure about my current immigration status. What should I expect, and how should I respond if this happens?

ICE can only enter non-public work areas with proper authorization, such as a valid judicial warrant or employer consent.

You generally have the right to remain silent and do not have to answer questions about your immigration status without a lawyer present.

If ICE appears at your workplace, stay calm and do not run or provide false information. Ask to see a warrant and note whether it is signed by a judge. It is strongly recommended to speak with an immigration attorney to understand your options and protect your rights.
