Hi! My H1b Maxes out on Jul 28 and my Perm was filed on Aug 6th 2025. Im Venezuelan working in US on H1b , with no visa stamp and no days available to recapture from trips. Doing consular processing in Bogota , Colombia to get stamp, spend 9+ days to recapture time seems my only way out to bridge the gap. Anyone in similar condition who has done Consular Stamp in Bogota lately?

Consular stamping in Bogotá will not extend your H-1B beyond the six-year limit. Since your PERM was filed after the cap, you likely don’t qualify for a one-year extension under the 365-day rule. Leaving for 9+ days does not create new H-1B time unless you previously had unused time abroad to recapture. You should speak with an immigration attorney urgently to review alternative status options before July 28.
