Hello, I have a question about my immigration case. I am married to a U.S. citizen, and we have a daughter together. I entered the United States legally with a visa. I’d like to know if I can fill out the adjustment of status forms (I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-864, etc.) myself or if it’s better to get professional help. Where can I find reliable and affordable assistance?

Yes, you can fill out the adjustment of status forms (I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-864, etc.) yourself if you entered legally and are married to a U.S. citizen, but many people choose to get professional help to avoid mistakes. Reliable, affordable help can be found through nonprofit immigration organizations or legal aid groups, such as Catholic Charities, Immigration Legal Resource Center (ILRC), or Justice for Our Neighbors (JFON). You can also search for accredited representatives on the U.S. Department of Justice’s EOIR website.
