Having competed at the highest level of international sport, including representing my country at the Olympics, I am now exploring ways to continue my athletic career in the United States. I have heard there are specific visa options for elite athletes with international recognition. I want to understand which visa fits someone with my background, what evidence is usually required, and whether this type of visa can allow longer stays, sponsorships, or future permanent residency opportunities in the U.S.

You can try to get the O-1 Visa, but you have to show top-tier, recognized achievement.

P-1A visa seems like the ideal path for you. But it is a non-immigrant visa for temporary stays.
