Conditions back home have become unbearable, and the thought of being forced to return causes constant fear. With deportation now a real possibility in the United States, I need to understand what protections exist. What options or rights do I have if removal proceedings begin?

Deportation does not happen immediately, and you have the right to a hearing before an immigration judge. During that process, you can present defenses and request relief.

If returning to Iran would put you in danger, you may be eligible for asylum or other forms of humanitarian protection. These options depend on your personal circumstances and evidence.

It is critical to respond to all notices and attend court hearings. Speaking with an immigration attorney as soon as possible can help protect your rights.
