Can you explain the main differences between the EB-2 visa and the F1B visa regarding eligibility, family migration, duration of stay, and work permit rights? For someone planning to move with their spouse and children, which visa would provide a more stable pathway for living, working, and eventually securing permanent residency in the U.S.?

You get EB-2 visa through employment. If you want to move with your spouse, EB-2 is the ideal choice. There is no F1B visa but there is an F1 visa which is for children of American citizens.

EB-2 vs F-1B
EB-2: For professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional skills; leads to a green card. Spouse and children can come along, live, and work freely.
F-1 (Student Visa): For studying only; no direct path to a green card. Spouse and kids (F-2) can’t work.
