Can someone on a pending asylum case travel outside the U.S. with Advance Parole, and what risks might they face?

Yes, they can apply for Advance Parole, but approval is not guaranteed.

Traveling to the home country can severely harm their asylum claim, as it may show they are not truly fearful of persecution.

Even with Advance Parole, reentry is subject to CBP inspection, and officers can still deny entry.

Travel can also delay or complicate the asylum case, as USCIS or the immigration court may question credibility.
