Yes. Your employer can request to withdraw your H-1B petition even after it has been approved by USCIS. Under U.S. immigration law, the H-1B is an employer-specific visa, meaning your legal right to work is tied directly to the employer who filed and sponsored your petition. If that employer no longer wants or is able to employ you, they can notify USCIS in writing and request withdrawal of the petition.

If you are already working on H-1B, your employer is generally required to notify USCIS when you leave the job. They may also have an obligation to pay for reasonable transportation costs back to your home country if they terminate your employment before your H-1B period ends.
