Yes, you can still sponsor a family member even if your income is low, as long as you find a joint sponsor who meets the income requirement and is willing to help by filing a separate Form I-864.

You can combine income and assets to meet the threshold, and USCIS will evaluate both sources to determine whether the financial requirement has been met for the household size.

Even if you do not currently meet the required income level to sponsor a family member, you are not obligated to submit the petition right away. You have the option to postpone filing until your financial circumstances improve or until you are able to secure a qualified joint sponsor who can meet the financial criteria.
