Yes. You can change employers while on an H-1B visa, but the new employer must file a new H-1B petition (transfer petition) with USCIS before you can begin working for them.

To switch employers, your new employer must submit Form I-129 and supporting documents to USCIS. Once USCIS receives the petition (and issues a receipt notice), you are allowed to start working for the new employer and you don’t have to wait for full approval to begin.
