Most U.S. work visas (like H-1B, L-1) require a U.S. employer to sponsor you.

The green card EB-1A category also allows self-petition if you meet high achievement criteria.

it's not impossible, but there are strict conditions for work visas that don't require a job offer from a US employer.


the EB-1A for extraordinary ability, EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW), and EB-5 (investor) visas do not require a job offer.
