Building businesses has always been my focus, even while studying in the United States. As graduation approaches, my attention is shifting toward launching a company, likely around 2026. I come from eastern Nigeria and want to plan this carefully without violating immigration rules. What should I understand now about visas, timing, and legal structures if I intend to start a business in the U.S. after my studies?

Student status does not usually allow running a business. Any plans must fit within what your visa permits or wait until you change status.

Some people plan ahead by exploring OPT, work visas, or future investment-based options. Early planning helps avoid rushed or risky decisions.

Starting a business often requires the right visa, funding, and legal setup. Immigration status and business structure are closely connected. Speaking with an immigration attorney before 2026 can help you align both goals safely.
