After arriving in the United States as a child alongside a parent, I’ve spent nearly five years here, attending school while my family later relocated elsewhere. I’m unsure of my current immigration status, future options, and what steps protect my ability to study, work later, or remain lawfully long-term planning.

Your options depend on how you entered, whether any status remains, and if protections apply while you’re enrolled.

Students in this situation often review dependent status, humanitarian protections, or school-based options. Maintaining enrollment and records can matter. A qualified attorney can map risks and timelines.

Don’t assume you have no options. Length of stay, age, and prior filings can change outcomes. There may be temporary relief or a path to adjust later. Get personalized advice before making travel or work decisions.
