I heard the U.S. government is offering a stipend for voluntary departure, but I signed up and never received any payment after leaving. What can I do to follow up or resolve this?

The voluntary departure stipend program is managed by DHS and uses the CBP Home app to track enrollment and departures. It’s important to keep all confirmation documents, travel proofs, and screenshots of any correspondence. If you did not receive the payment, start by contacting the official support channels listed in the program materials. Many participants also work with an immigration attorney or nonprofit organizations to follow up. Having complete documentation of your participation and departure increases the chances that DHS will investigate and respond to your inquiry.

Many people do not receive the stipend immediately or encounter issues with payments. The first step is to contact CBP Home support directly using the official channels provided when you enrolled. If you do not get a response, some people have had success by working with nonprofits or legal representatives who can escalate the issue with DHS or even request help through congressional offices. It is important to have all records of your enrollment, departure confirmation, and communication attempts, because these documents show proof of your participation.
