Having seen my uncle struggle with serious health issues back in Tajikistan, I want to explore ways to bring him to the United States so he can access the best medical care available. Are there family or humanitarian-based immigration options that could allow him to enter legally, receive treatment, and possibly stay for ongoing medical support without running into legal barriers?

Medical treatment alone does not usually qualify someone for permanent immigration. Short-term visitor visas (B-2) can allow entry for treatment if properly documented.

In some cases, a humanitarian parole may be requested for urgent medical care. Supporting evidence like doctor letters, treatment plans, and financial ability to cover care is essential. Approval is discretionary and evaluated case by case.

Family-sponsored petitions typically require closer relationships, so an uncle may not qualify for a green card directly. Combining a visitor visa with proper medical documentation is often the most realistic path. Consulting an immigration attorney can help prepare a strong, lawful application.
