I have applied for asylum, can I still get a work permit while waiting for a decision?

Yes, you’re eligible for a work permit after 150 days of filing your asylum application. Just make sure there haven’t been any delays caused by you, like missing documents or incomplete forms

it’s possible, but there’s a waiting period. You can’t apply for a work permit right away—you need to wait 150 days after submitting your asylum application. After that, you can file for it, and it usually takes some time to process

I’ve been through this process, and yes, you can get a work permit while waiting for your asylum decision. Just make sure you’ve hit the 150-day mark since filing your asylum application, and then you can apply

From what I know, asylum seekers can apply for a work permit after 150 days of filing their application, as long as there are no delays caused by them. It’s called an Employment Authorization Document (EAD)

Yes, you can apply for a work permit while waiting for your asylum decision, but only after 150 days of filing your asylum application. I’ve done this myself, and it’s a bit of a wait, but once you hit that timeline, you can submit Form I-765

Yes, you can apply for a work permit (EAD) 150 days after filing your asylum application, but it won’t be issued until at least 180 days have passed.
