Permanent Residency granted to a client with an expired Visitor’s Visa
A client who entered the United States on a Visitor’s visa, which expired shortly thereafter, recently obtained Permanent Residency in front of the Immigration Judge. A native of Bangladesh, the client was undergoing deportation proceedings due to his expired B1/B2 visa. Initially, the Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) denied his petition, and his case was remanded after an appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) was submitted by the Law Offices of N.M. Gehi, P.C. The case was then remanded to the Immigration Judge and the client was able to adjust status based on his marriage to a U.S. citizen.
